A PAIR OF FRENCH EGYPTIAN REVIVAL GILT AND PATINATED BRONZE VASES AND COVERS
LATE 19TH / EARLY 20TH CENTURY
each cover with a head finial, probably of Hathor wearing her cow horn crown, above a border of wings on a base with a pair of elephant head handles, on a body cast with oval cartouches flanked by serpents on a ground of spread wings, above a short stem and a veined green marble foot, with an inner pierced cover, stamped 'A L' (2)
