An Austrian silver and niello work cigarette and vesta case,
by Georg Adam Scheid, Vienna circa 1900,
rectangular form, with foliate niello decoration, gilded interior, with a wheel for a lighting cord, the hinged base opens to reveal a vesta compartment and striking plate, length 10cm, plus a Russian silver and niello work cheroot case, Moscow 1893, assay master unknown, rectangular form, the hinged cover with a troika scene, foliate borders, length 9.4cm, approx. total weight 9.5oz.
