An early 19th century French silver-mounted two-handled sugar vase and cover,

by Quentin Baschelet, Paris 1819-1838,

the heavy glass bowl of circular form, leaf border and scroll handles, the pull-off cover with a scroll urn finial, with pierced mounts, on an acanthus leaf stem on a raised square base, engraved with an armorial shield, on four paw feet, height 26cm.
