Description
A matched pair of Scottish Regimental silver menu card holders, The Gordon Highlanders,
retailed by Wilson and Sharpe, Edinburgh 1938/39,
modelled as the regimental badge, mounted on raised circular wooden bases, height 8cm. (2)
Formed in 1881 by the amalgamation of the 75th and 92nd Regiments of Foot. In 1994, the Regiment amalgamated with the Queen's Own Highlanders to form the Highlanders (Seaforth, Gordons and Camerons).
