A collection of seven silver capstan inkwells,
various dates and makers,
comprising: a large capstan inkwell, by Sanders & Mackenzie, Birmingham 1924, circular form, hinged cover, diameter of base 21.5cm, one of hexagonal form, by Walker & Hall, Sheffield 1926, hinged cover, diameter of base 20.1cm, one of circular form, by A & J Zimmerman Ltd, Birmingham 1908, raised notched border, hinged cover, traces of a presentation inscription, diameter of base 18cm, a similar smaller example, by Adie Bros Ltd, Birmingham 1936, an oval one, makers mark partially worn, Chester 1911, plus a Birmingham-made inkwell by S Blanckensee & Son Ltd, date letter worn, square base, and one of circular form, by William Aitken, Birmingham 1911, with clear glass liners.
