A CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE 'SANXING' CYLINDRICAL BRUSHPOT, BITONG

YONGZHENG 1723-35

Painted with scenes of figures from Chinese mythology, including Shoulao holding a giant peach, Fu Xing, Lu Xing and their attendants, with a gnarled pine tree to the reverse, the base with a recessed glazed circle and a Chenghua mark, 12.2cm.

Provenance: from a British private collection, purchased from Imperial Oriental Art, New York, on 11th June 1999, a copy of the original invoice is available.
