A PAIR OF FAMILLE ROSE MILLEFLEURS POMEGRANATE-FORM VASES, SHILIUZUN

REPUBLIC PERIOD

Each brightly enamelled with blooming flowers, including lotus, peonies, chrysanthemums, day lilies, hydrangeas and poppies, all reserved on a dark red ground with scrolling tendrils in gilt, each with a four character mark which reads ju ren tang zhi, 22cm. (2)

Provenance: from the collection of Henry Myles-Tarlton (d.1946), Chief Engineer for Bird & Co Mining in India between 1912 and 1932.
