A FINE PAIR OF CHINESE EN GRISAILLE 'WINTER LANDSCAPE' DISHES
REPUBLIC PERIOD
Each painted with a snowy mountainous landscape scene, with white enamels to heighten snow lying on the tree branches, roofs of pavilions and rocky ridges, one depicting a traveller on horseback with his attendant walking behind, the other with figures on a sampan and a terrace, each signed by Yu Wenxiang and with a four character mark which reads qi zhen sheng yu, 24.2cm.
