A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNE DRUM-SHAPED GARDEN SEATS
QING DYNASTY
Each of barrel form, with raised bosses at the top and the base, decorated with peony blooms amidst dense scrolling foliage and openwork cash motifs, each framed with further floral and cracked ice borders, all on a turquoise ground, 11kg, 44cm. (2)
Provenance: formerly from a private collection, purchased in Tokyo in the 1940s.
