SEVEN CHINESE CORAL CARVINGS OF FEMALE DEITIES AND A BOY
QING DYNASTY
Each carved as a slender figure, the goddesses include Guanyin and Magu dressed in long flowing robes and with hair in elegant high chignons, the corals of bright salmon colour with some minor white specks, each with a wood stand, one inlaid with silver wire, 12.8cm max. (14)
Provenance: an English private collection, and thence by descent.
