Gouache on paper heightened with gold, one depicting a nobleman on horseback holding a bird of prey, another of a young man kneeling, the remaining four portraits of various figures, each named by script, including the influential female Deccaan courtesan and Urdu poet Mah Laqa Bai (Chanda), and Nur Jahan, the Empress consort and last wife of Emperor Jahangir, 22cm x 15.5cm max.
