A CHINESE YUE CELADON HU-SHAPED VASE AND A QINGBAI FOLIATE BOWL

HAN AND SONG DYNASTY

The vase incised with cranes to the shoulder, decorated with an olive-green glaze, the bowl with a lobed rim, covered with a greenish grey glaze, together with a catalogue illustrating a similar vase, 35cm and 19.3cm. (3)

Provenance: from the collection of Dr Jonathan Mirsky (1932-2021), acquired prior to 2000. Dr Mirsky was an American journalist and historian of China.
