Description
A silver mounted Arab sword (saif), broad and slightly curved blade 30.5 in., hatchet point, one narrow and one broad fuller; silver clad hilt with bud-terminal quillons and angular pommel, triple knuckle chain, applied and engraved embellishment; the major parts of the silver clad scabbard comprising: a long locket and chape decorated en suite and with a matched intervening section of pierced and repoussé work, together covering the full length of the blade, the wooden lining not present.
