Description
An English 26 bore rifled percussion pistol, retailed by Edward Whistler, sighted browned octagonal barrel 6.5 in., the top flat engraved 'STRAND LONDON', London proof, back action lock engraved with scrolls and 'E. WHISTLER', walnut stock with engraved steel furniture, captive ram rod, chequered grip, butt trap; later fitted case and accessories including a pistol powder flask.
