A .32-40 Winchester model 1894 saddle ring carbine, round barrel 20 in., Marbles buckhorn back sight, action with saddle ring and later drilled and tapped (presumably for an aperture sight), walnut stock with steel furniture, the butt with (aftermarket) miniature compass set in the comb, serial number 125744. Obsolete calibre, no licence required in the UK.
