An early Victorian silver engraved 'Castle-top' table snuff box, Balmoral Castle,
by Edward Smith, Birmingham 1838,
rectangular form, cushion sides, heavy scroll foliate and engine turned decoration, the hinged cover engraved with a view of the castle, with a gilded interior, in a fitted case retailed by Garrard, length 10.8cm, approx. weight 9.2oz.
