A George III silver military vinaigrette,
by William Ellerby, London 1808,
rectangular form, the hinged cover and base with engine-turned decoration, plain thumb-piece, the hinged cover opens to reveal a pierced and engraved silver-gilt grille, with a flag, cannon and drums and foliate decoration, length 3.6cm, approx. weight 0.7oz.
