A large George III silver military vinaigrette,
by William Ellerby, London 1805,
flat rectangular form, the hinged cover and base with wriggle-work decoration, plain thumb-piece, the hinged cover opens to reveal a pierced and engraved silver-gilt grille, with flags, cannons and drums and foliate decoration, length 5cm, approx. weight 0.8oz.
