A coral hat finial, China, Qing Dynasty, 19th century, the drilled coral bead engraved with a shou medallion, originally from an official's hat denoting their status as an officer of the second grade, measuring 3.0 x 2.5 x 2.5cm
Provenance: the collection of Heinrich Aigner (1919-2005) a German importer who formed a collection of Chinese art throughout his frequent travels to Asia in the 1960s and 1970s
