Description
Two early delftware tiles, mid 17th century, probably Rotherhithe, each painted in blue, green and ochre with stylized flowering plants within an oval panel, the corners with fleur de lys motifs, 13cm. (2)
The presence of multiple nail holes in the corners suggest an English origin rather than Dutch.
