Description
A Chelsea fluted dish, c.1753-55, painted in the Kakiemon palette with Ho-Ho birds, the long-tailed creatures in flight and perched on turquoise rockwork between flowering plants, the lobed rim with a wide band of flowers and foliage in red and gilt, red anchor mark, some rubbing, 22.8cm.
