the brass three train movement striking on eight bells and five gongs, the silvered arched dial with engraved decoration and Roman numerals, with three subsidiary dials, chime/silent, slow/fast and chime on eight bells/chime on four gongs, signed 'J. W. Clarke, 55 Long Acre London' the case with ormolu mounts and pierced side panels
