A George II silver sugar caster,
London 1748,
circular bellied form, the pull-off pierced cover with a knop finial, on a circular foot, engraved with a crest, height 12.5cm, plus a George III caster, London 1770, baluster form, rope-work girdle, on a circular foot, approx. weight 5.9oz. (2)
Provenance: From the private collection of the late Joyce Lowe, of Lowe and Sons, Chester. She became the only female Honorary Member of The Chester Goldsmiths Company in her family's two hundred-year ownership of the firm (1770-1977).
