A 19th century leather sewing necessaire, with a hinged cover,containing the following engraved silvergilt fittings: an octagonal pincushion, a mounted thread waxers, an octagonal tapemeasure, a thimble, a mounted steel piercer, a pair of mounted steel scissors with sheath and two pencils, unmarked the case 4.1in (10.3cm) long.
