the brass eight day movement with four knopped pillars and an anchor escapement striking on a bell, the silvered dial with black Roman hours and Arabic minutes, with a subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture and inscribed 'MOSES TRUGARD / DARTMOUTH' to the centre engraved with a harbour scene, the hood with a square door flanked by tapering columns, with an arched trunk door, with weights and pendulum
