the brass eight day movement with four knopped pillars and anchor escapement striking on a bell, on a painted dial with black Roman hours and Arabic minutes, subsidiary seconds and date dials and inscribed 'Rbt Logie Edinburgh' beneath an arch painted with an urn flanked by birds, the hood with a broken swan nack pediment, and tapering columns on a body with an ogee trunk door flanked by quarter columns on a plinth base, with weights and pendulum
