the brass movement enclosed by dust shutters with five turned pillars, six spoke wheels, deadbeat escapement with jewelled pallets, maintaining power, counter balance and adjustable end stops, with a 12" silvered dial with an outer ring of Arabic minutes, with subsidiary hour and seconds dials and inscribed 'James Condliff / Liverpool', the oval glass mercury pendulum jar with an adjustable block on the backboard, the case with an architectural pediment on a convex circular door and canted corners, the body with a glazed trunk door and side panes, with an oval brass weight and key
