the brass eight day twin fusee repeating movement with original verge escapement and striking on a bell, the backplate engraved with a coronet surrounded by foliage, the brass dial with a silvered chapter ring with black Roman hours and Arabic minutes, a date aperture beneath a strike/silent dial and inscribed 'Saml. Goujon, London', the case with a caddy top and a swing handle with gilt flowerbud finials above an arched door, the sides with silk backed fretwork grilles, on a moulded base, with pendulum and key
