A William IV oblong snuff box, with reeded side and raised floral borders, the cover inscribed 'Presented along with a pair of globes to M R Peter Mackay Teacher Gifford by his friends in the parish and its vicinity as a mark of thier appreciation of his unwearied zeal in the education of youth 1st July 1833' gilt interior, by Thomas Shaw, Birmingham 1833, 3in (7.5cm) long, 3oz.
