A George III regimental silver Fiddle pattern dessert fork, The Royal Staffs Corps,
by Thomas Barker, London 1811,
the reverse of the terminal inscribed ' Royal Staff Corps.', approx. weight 1.3oz.
Provenance: A Private Collection of Military Silver.
Raised in 1800 and deployed during the Peninsular War to provide field engineers. The corps disbanded in 1830.
