A late Victorian leather writing slope by Toulmin & Gale, the lid initialled 'E.H,' to a fitted interior with ivory and steel accoutrements and gilt tooled 'TOULMIN & GALE, SISE LANE CITY & NEW BOND STREET LONDON, DISPATCH & WRITING CASE REGISTERED No. 3395,' the hinged slope fitted three ceramic tablets, divided 'Monday to Saturday,' to 'Light' and 'Ink' boxes and further covers with watered green silk panels and a blotter book, the Bramah style lock has been cut, 6in (15cm) h, 14in (35.5cm) w, 10in (25.5cm) d.
