A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND ROLLED PAPER TEA CADDY
LATE 18TH CENTURY
of hexagonal form, with glazed panels decorated with gilt and polychrome scrollwork with ribbons and flowers, the body with six watercolour rondels depicting figures in landscape settings, including: a lady with an anchor, a depiction of Britannia, Justice and a man carrying a flag inscribed 'Domestic Comfort' and a scroll with 'Temperance', the hinged cover decorated with a stylized sunburst and with a brass handle
