A George III silver nutmeg grater,
maker's mark only, that of James Phipps, London circa 1780,
oval navette form, the hinged cover with bright-cut swags and with an initialled cartouche, hinged base, the interior with a steel grater, length 5.2cm, approx. weight 1.2oz.
