A 19th century Italian silver-gilt mounted micro-mosaic and brown aventurine snuff box,
by Giovanni Andrea Mascelli, Rome circa 1830-40,
rectangular form, the hinged cover with a micro-mosaic panel of Pliny's Doves within a plain border, plain mounts, length 8.9cm.
