A late-17th century silver scent flask,
unmarked, circa 1690,
lobed tapering form, chased with Chinoiserie scenes of figures and birds in landscape settings on matted backgrounds, the screw-off cover opens to reveal a stopper, on a circular seal base, engraved with an armorial matrix of a widow's lozenge, with a ring attachment, height 8.3cm, approx. weight 2.6oz.
