A GOOD CHINESE BROWN SILK EMBROIDERED 'NINE DRAGON' ROBE
19TH CENTURY

Embroidered in gold thread with nine scaly dragons amidst blue clouds, xi characters, pearls, cranes and bats, all above a wide border of surf and waves, 131cm x 177cm.

Provenance: formerly in the collection of Thorvald Johnsen Jr (1879-1971).
