Description

A late 17th century Anglo Dutch oyster veneered and seaweed marquetry inlaid chest, with banded and inlaid stringing, the moulded edge top above two short and three long graduated drawers fitted with later brass drop handles, with arched panel marquetry sides and a moulded base, on turned bun feet, 95cm (37.5in) high, 96cm (37.75in) wide, 56cm (22in) deep. Provenance: Purchased from Wakelin and Linfield, West Sussex, 1991.
