Description

British East India Company medals: a presentation silver tray to Brigadier General Thomas Palmer, rectangular with shell and scroll border, raised on four shell and scroll bracket feet, underside engraved in cursive script 'General Thos. Palmer', with the following of the Company's medals in silver set in holes in the surface such that both sides are visible: Mysore 1792, Seringapatam 1799 (3), Egypt 1801, Capture of Rodriguez - Isle of Bourbon and Isle of France 1810 (2), Java 1811, Nepal 1814-16; also set with a French five franc coin of 1808 and a British crown of 1821; 35 x 26 mm (14 x 10in.).
