A .577 Belgian commercial Snider carbine, barrel 19 in., small tangent/ladder back sight, Liege proof marks, Mk III type action with sprung latch to the breech block, unmarked lock, small 'U' mark to barrel band, half stock with brass furniture, possibly for a Boer contract. Section 58(2) - no licence required if possessed as a curiosity or ornament.
