Eisenhower, Supreme Commander Allied Expeditionary Force 1943-45 and President of the U.S.A. 1953-61, 'Crusade in Europe', inscribed "For Elizabeth and Edmund de Rothschild with best wishes from Dwight Eisenhower 14 October 1965" to the dedication page, William Heinmann Ltd.; Virginia Cowles, 'The Phantom Major / The Story of David Stirling and the S.A.S. Regiment', inscribed "For Eddy de Rothschild / David Stirling" to the end paper and with an ms. note taped inside the cover "My dear Eddy, A million apologies for being so long in returning the book duly signed, yours ever David", dust jacket, London, Collins; and five other volumes bearing similar autograph dedications from Lord Mountbatten of Burma (2), Commander Ashe Lincoln, Ewen Montagu and Lord Moran.
