Binding - Dark (Sidney) London, illus. by Joseph Pennell, crushed brown morocco, the upper cover with large central panel and the city arms on a black morocco onlay surrounded by floral tools within a blind tooled lattice panel, outer blind and gilt borders with small round black morocco onlays as decoration, spine gilt in compartments, t.e.g., calf turn-ins decorated in gilt with gold-blocked endpapers, stamped with the binder's mark 'GF' in lower turn-in, 1924 This binding is probably the work of George Fisher who was apprenticed at Riviere's and attended Douglas Cockerell's classes. In 1924 at Cockerell's recommendation he took charge of the Gregynog Press Bindery.
