An early Victorian silver snuff box,
by William Simpson, Birmingham 1837,
rounded rectangular form, engine-turned decoration, the hinged cover with a foliate scroll thumb-piece and mounted with a running greyhound, with an initialled cartouche, length 9cm, approx. weight 2.4oz.
