A late-18th-century silver meat dish,
marked with assay scrapes, probably Maltese, circa 1780-1800,
lobed circular form, moulded border, engraved with a crowned shield cartouche with a monogram, the reverse with the crest of a bird of prey and engraved 'N:2 L:4 o3: 2/8', diameter 38.2cm, approx. weight 42.6oz.
