A fine ruby, emerald, sapphire and diamond sarpech brooch, third quarter 19th century, modelled as a traditional sarpech turban ornament, with a series of floral palmettes through the centre, intricately set with cushion-shaped diamonds and calibré-cut rubies, sapphires and emeralds, mounted in gold in a closed-back setting, length 6.5cm, later detachable brooch fittings
