A George III Scottish inkwell, in the form of a square plinth, fitted with two drawers, one for seals, the other for pounce, the obverse with the arms of Jarrow impaling Dore or Door, the reverse inscribed 'A Small testimony of Esteem and Gratitude for the most Distinguished Attention & Liberality in Administering the Will of the late Worthy & Benevolent Dr Garrow, Edinburgh, 9th April 1796', maker William Robertson, Edinburgh 1795, (wooden inset base), 3.5in (9cm) high.
