the brass eight day twin fusee movement with repeat mechanism and anchor escapement and striking on a bell, the backplate with engraved foliate decoration, the silvered dial with black Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, subsidiary seconds dial and inscribed 'John Skinner EXETER', a 'Strike Silent' dial to the arch, with gilt spandrels, the domed case with a brass swing handle, pinecone finials and silk backed sound frets, with a pendulum
