A WILLIAM III WALNUT LONGCASE CLOCK

the brass eight day five knopped pillar movement with an anchor escapement and striking on a bell, the brass dial with a silvered chapter ring, black Roman hours, half hour markers and Arabic five minutes around a matted centre with a subsidiary seconds dial, date aperture and inscribed 'PHIL VICK LONDON' in an engraved foliate cartouche, inside gilt cherub and crown spandrels, the caddy top with turned and gilt finials, a blind fretwork panel above a square glazed door flanked by slightly swollen pillars, the trunk door with boxwood and ebony line inlay and a circular blue glass lenticle, plinth base and moulded foot, with two weights
