A FRENCH GILT BRASS CARRIAGE CLOCK
BY DROCOURT AND RETAILED BY CHEMINANT, PARIS, LATE 19TH CENTURY
the brass, eight day movement with a silvered platform ecapement, with alarm and repeat mechanisms and striking on a bell, the backplate stamped 'DC' and with serial number '7225', the enamel dial with black Roman hours and subsidiary alarm dial with Arabic hours, inscribed 'CHEMINANT, PARIS', the five pane gorge case stamped '7225' and '36184' to the underside
