A George I walnut escritoire, with crossbanding and stringing, the moulded cornice above a cushion frieze drawer to a fall fitted a later ratcheted leather lined slope and an arrangement of pigeon holes and drawers, including secret drawers and a cupboard door, the base with two short and two long drawers, fitted later engraved brass handles, on later bracket feet, 67in (170cm) h, 43.25in (110cm) w, 20.25in (51.4cm) d.
