A JAPANESE WOOD NETSUKE OF SHOKI AND AN ONI
EDO PERIOD, 18TH/19TH CENTURY
The Demon Queller depicted standing, turning to the right as he holds a small demon by the hair, the oni writhing with pain; his long beard and sleeves swirling in the wind, and with his eyes inlaid in metal, 8.7cm.
